REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree

EXPERIENCE: 10 - 15 years in Pharmaceutical or Food Industry

Maintenance and energy costs, work quality, results delivery, safety and inovation in daily activities

Quality

Quality results (KQI) are within target parameters as set out and agreed on annually.

Internal and External Quality compliance: all inspections passed.

Cost Management

Continuous procedure to optimisation and improve monthly unit output.

Health, Safety, Environment

Comply with local safety regulations.

Continuous improvement / corrective actions and deviations within area of responsibility for internal/external audits is completed.

Corporate Governance

Ensure all applicable procedures comply with standards.

• Ensure that all assets under the care of the engineering department are properly maintained in accordance with cGMP.

• Ensure the adequacy of systems and assets to perform their designed functions.

• Ensure that accurate records are kept of all work performed on equipment and facilities relating to GMP.

• Ensure that all monthly reports to the region are done timeously. (KPI report, CM / PM ratios, MII and MIE reports)

• Ensure that all related engineering activities are performed in accordance with cGMP.

• Responsible for maintaining cost controls within approved budgets.

• Ensuring that all associates in the engineering department is regularly trained on SOP’s, Quality Procedures and GMP.

• Compliance to HSE Objectives. (BCM, Audit CAPA’s, SAMACO, Permitting)

• Compliance to Quality Objectives (ZEN overdues, Audit CAPA’s,

• Responsible for Engineering contractor control, ensuring that all requirements are meet. Safety files, induction, method statements, and risk assessments are done.

• Effective management and reduction plans for energy usage.

• Participate in Union / management meetings representing site management

• As appropriate, responsible for implementation of, compliance and governance practices.
