JOB DESCRIPTION:

PROPERTY ACCOUNTANT – Atlantis - R25 000 – R30 000 per month

Engineering Group seeks a Property Accountant to be responsible for overseeing, managing and executing tasks and activities related to the effective and efficient management of the property portfolio assigned.

You will manage the day to day financial operations within the portfolio assigned (including but not limited to creditors/debtors and payment processes, financial and management reporting, balancing of trading accounts, journals, tenant billing.), assist in the compilation of annual financial reports for audit, assist auditors with audit and Adhoc inquiries, calculation, and submission of statutory reports (VAT, EMPO1’s). You will be responsible for research, proposing, and implementing financial software solutions, assisting Director and other team members when required and continuous liaison with key stakeholders

Min B.Com/B-Tech/B.Compt or related financial qualification coupled with SAICA or SAIPA articles and 3-5 years relevant work experience of which 1-2 years must be post article experience. Experience in residential and commercial real estate and in the implementation of Financial software solutions and systems will be advantageous. Willingness to work long hours as and when required. Valid driver’s license. Knowledge of and experience with SYSPRO.

Critical Competencies include ability in Financial and Statutory (VAT, EMPO1’s, e-filing) reporting, proven ability to utilize financial software systems accurately and efficiently, and the ability to recognise issues and use initiative to identify and discuss proposed solutions.
