SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Paint Plant Engineer for a Permanent position based in Rosslyn, Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

Paint technology /Paint Polymer technologist/Mechanical Engineering qualification
5 years’ experience in process & Industrial Paint technology in the Automotive sector
5 years Paint Robotic application and programming experience
Robotics with paint experience required

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

Ensure the process and industrial Engineering activities
Meet project and quality planning requirements
Ensure the accurate process inputs, time studies and line optimisation activities are implemented
Ensure accurate Paint Robot programming and simulation
Trouble shooting Paint related or Robot related/paint mixing issues online
The management of expense and capital purchases in accordance with set budgets
Ongoing testing and qualification of paint and paint processes
Develop new Painted plastic products
Conduct Quality planning activities (APQP), Process FMEA’s and Control Plans on products to ensure conformance
Facilitate Jigs and fixtures design and fabrication.
BOM/cycle time audits and process input changes
Process Training to shop floor personnel
Implement and obtain ISIR/PSW approvals on new or changed products
Robot programming and training for required personal
Track and oversee all plant parameters and controls
The successful candidate will need to go to Japan for 6 weeks training (paid for by the client)

Salary: Negotiable
