JOB SUMMARY:
My client a leading supplier of construction-related materials, specialising in the production of cement, aggregate, and ready-mix concrete is looking for a Plant Engineer (2.13.1) to be part of their Gauteng team in based in Johannesburg. GCC (Mines and Works) is a MUST.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

NDip or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
GCC Mines and Works is essential.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the bulk materials handling industry.
3-5 years in CAPEX projects.
3-5 years of Project Management experience.
Registered engineer with ECSA will be advantageous.

Duties and responsibilities:

Manage the various allocated site financial planning process and CAPEX processes.
Ensure projects are executed to PMA standards, achieving time and cost targets, well-managed resources, and successful handover.
Provide technical expertise to achieve and improve OEEs.
Providing guidance and expertise in the implementation and execution of plant maintenance using SAP PM as the tool.
Leading and managing people to achieve performance objectives through target setting, technical competence, and bench strength.
Responsible for the development of Engineers in Training to achieve professional statuses and further their career objectives through CM.
Ensure legal and safety compliance environmental requirements are maintained on all plants and machinery in accordance with the relevant safety legislation and regulations.
Ensure compliance to set procedures in relation to quality management systems.
Carry the relevant legal appointment (2.13.1) and strictly conduct the associated responsibilities as set out by the mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996.
