Plant Manager – Northern Areas in JHB
Salary: R1.2 – R2 million per annum (based on experience)
Employment Equity: Open to all South Africans
A leading food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee operations at their Johannesburg facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record in production management, and a passion for continuous improvement, safety, and quality.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and implement strategies for safety, cost control, and food safety compliance
Drive product quality, yield and schedule attainment improvements
Optimize production line capacity and efficiency
Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000 and internal audit standards
Lead and develop a high-performing, engaged team
Manage budgets, inventory, and labour strategies
Maintain a world-class, audit-ready facility

Requirements:

BEng or BsC Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
GCC Factories essential
MBA is advantageous
10–15 years in a senior manufacturing leadership role
Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, process controls, and food safety standards
Experience with SAP and TPM is an advantage
