POSITION INFO:
Working for our client provides the prestige of a global brand combined with the close-knit collaboration of a specialized local office. This role is designed for a proactive individual who enjoys the technical side of tax compliance but is also ready to take on the responsibility of mentoring junior staff and managing high-level client relationships. You will be empowered to take ownership of your portfolio and act as a key liaison between the firm and regulatory authorities, ensuring excellence at every touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and approve a comprehensive range of tax returns, including Income Tax, VAT, and PAYE.
Liaise directly with SARS via eFiling and professional correspondence to resolve complex disputes and appeals.
Maintain and improve internal controls and tax processes to ensure firm-wide compliance.
Act as a technical mentor to Tax Administrators and Trainees, ensuring their professional development.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Degree in Taxation, Accounting, or Finance.
3+ years of practical tax compliance experience with leadership or supervisory exposure.
Strong technical knowledge of SARS processes and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans; strong organizational and time management skills.
