SUMMARY:

Work on designing and building highâpower electronic systems for grid-tied solar, battery, and industrial applications. This is a hands-on, delivery-driven role focused on developing reliable, scalable solutions that perform in real-world environments.

POSITION INFO:

A specialised power electronics and energy systems company is looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to support the design, testing, and delivery of highâpower conversion solutions for utility-scale renewable and industrial projects. This is a hands-on, product-driven role suited to an engineer with solid experience in grid-tied power conversion, battery storage systems, and industrial motor control, and who is comfortable working directly with equipment in complex, safety-regulated environments.

Education & Skills:

BEng / BSc in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
3+ years’ experience in power electronics design or product support
Strong understanding of mediumâ to highâpower conversion systems
Experience with simulation tools, such as MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, or PSpice
Practical experience with testing and troubleshooting power electronic hardware
Solid understanding of thermal management, EMC, and protection schemes

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Design and development of highâpower converters and inverters for renewable energy and energy storage systems
Support the lifecycle of gridâconnected solar PV inverters, battery converters, and related power electronics products
Develop and review power stage designs, including DC/DC, DC/AC, and AC/AC topologies
Selection and validation of power semiconductor devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, and SiC)
Perform circuit simulation, control loop analysis, and performance optimisation
Support factory and site testing, commissioning, and fault investigation
Work closely with control, systems, and commissioning engineers
Ensure compliance with electrical standards and gridâcode requirements
