Pr Eng / Pr Tech HVAC Mechanical Engineer

POSITION INFO:
Our client is an established South African engineering consultancy specialising in mechanical building services and HVAC solutions across commercial, healthcare, and specialised facilities. The successful candidate will lead HVAC and mechanical building services design projects from concept through to construction and commissioning. Responsibilities include engineering calculations, system design, technical reporting, client engagement, contractor coordination, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, supporting project delivery timelines, and contributing to technically sound, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Professional registration as Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng (ECSA) with minimum 5 years' post-registration experience
• 10 + years’ experience in HVAC and mechanical building services consulting engineering
• Proven experience in HVAC system design, load calculations, and project delivery
• SAQA-verified Mechanical Engineering qualification (BEng / BTech / NDip)
• Strong client interaction, project coordination, and technical reporting skills
