About the job

An opportunity has arisen in the Private Equity space. This is a new position with an established and well respected fund that has investments in numerous sectors in its portfolio, including Emerging Markets.

The role is to support the origination, development, due diligence, approval and implementation of private equity investment opportunities. Support in the management of funding, as well as portfolio reporting. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical proficiency and experience in successful transactions including private equity funds and/or direct equity investments and assisting in the management and reporting in respect of portfolio entities.

Probably a CA(SA), CFA or equivalent. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person with a strong work ethic having at least 7+ years of relevant professional experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development. Direct investing experience with a private equity fund, fund of funds, institutional investor, or similar entity, with a focus on equity investments is preferred. You will be able to display maturity and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within culturally diverse teams at all levels and demonstrate a deep understanding of and experience in building financial models for valuations and financial analysis.
