JOB SUMMARY:
The primary role will be to order material from approved suppliers, do income inspections, create purchase orders and ensure timely flow of inbound materials in support of purchasing and production requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Request quotations and order materials from approved suppliers in order to meet the company’s demand.
Maintain acceptable levels of materials and maintain accurate documentation on the ERP.
Timeously create and send Purchase Orders for approval, on the ERP.
Complete external provider evaluations to ensure compliance with AS9100.
Complete incoming inspection once material has arrived.
Loading purchased stock and materials on the ERP.
To attend to queries with suppliers timeously and efficiently.
Communicate progress from vendors and suppliers to team members and managers.
Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times product ranges, etc.
Compliance with current company procurement procedures and policies as referenced below.
Performing minor administrative roles within the company if required.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Matric and
B-Tech / Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering

EXPERIENCE:

1 -2 years’ experience in a similar industry and exposure to electrical components.

SKILLS:

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Strong communication skills.
Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Experience in coordinating international shipping from overseas suppliers – advantageous.
Familiar with ERP systems – advantageous.
