SUMMARY:
Product Engineering Manager - East Rand- JHB - 10 yearsâ€™ experience in the Mechanical Engineering Design field

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for someone with a good all round design engineering background who wants to specialise in a specific area and to become a “specialist” in the field. Communition is not a prerequisite but we would want the person to have some heavy engineering experience. We are willing to invest in the ideal candidate by sending him on all the necessary courses, conferences and seminars on communition We are looking for a stable candidate who wants to make a career at this company.

The candidate will be responsible for the development of the “product lifecycle” starting with onsite process audits and application engineering followed by product design and the introduction into manufacturing, and lastly assessing the products performance in use with the aim of continuous improvement. The product development phase will be done with comminution best practices and principles in mind.

Key Responsibilities:
• Application Engineering using Comminution best practices and principles.
• Management of the Design/Draughting Office
• Product development and release of the respective drawings, standards & specifications
• Product concept handover & briefing to Manufacturing.
• Manufacturing support on product deviations
• Final product assessment and release
• Continuous improvement of products

Requirements:
10 years’ experience in the Mechanical Engineering Design field.
Btech Degree or BSC Mech Eng
Experience with Comminution Engineering will be a major advantage.
Salary package circa R----- > cost to Company
