SUMMARY:
A well-established laboratory equipment and consumables company requires the above to manage and drive the various assigned product portfolios on a national basis, maximising profitability, controlling working capital, growing portfolios and achieving budgetary objectives.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role: A Grade 12 is essential for this role. A science degree, diploma or certificate is pref but not essential. Previous experience working within a scientific\/laboratory environment is preferred. Must be computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing and driving the various assigned product portfolios on a national basis, maximising profitability, controlling working capital, growing portfolios and achieving budgetary objectives. Working alongside the sales team in order to assist them in growing and developing customers in the marketplace. Formulating strategies and plans to achieve sales targets for each product brand. Attending weekly review meetings with senior management. Attending customer meetings with the Sales team and presenting various products to customers. Arranging and conducting training at customers on products. Conducting research into new market sectors with regards to various brands of products that are promoted. Managing and overseeing international and local suppliers regarding products being represented by the company. Working closely with the marketing manager and fellow product managers for support programmes and materials. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
