Production Line Lead | Manufacturing Operations (6 month contract to Perm)

POSITION INFO:

A global manufacturing organisation is seeking a Line Lead to join their high-performance production environment.

This role is ideal for a technically minded leader who enjoys working close to the production floor, developing teams, and driving operational excellence across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.  You will take ownership of an assigned production line and play a key role in building a high-performing, autonomous team, while continuously improving operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production line performance with full accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale (SQDCM) outcomes
• Drive production plan adherence and ensure high service levels through effective line management
• Coach and develop Production Operators to build technical capability and team ownership
• Lead daily performance and problem-solving meetings with production teams
• Identify operational losses and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity
• Ensure compliance with all quality, safety, environmental and legal standards within the production environment
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for operational issues
• Support the execution of production improvement projects and new initiatives on the production line
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration and continuous improvement

Requirements

• BTech / BSc Degree in Engineering, Operations or a related field
• Approximately 2 – 4 years’ experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Exposure to production line coordination or team leadership would be highly advantageous
• Strong people leadership and coaching ability
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate computer literacy (MS Office and production systems)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate teams
