JOB SUMMARY:
Production Manager Milling

JOB DESCRIPTION:

•Asset Management :

oAchievement of overall production parameters.

oContinuous availability of equipment.

oReduced down time due to equipment breakdown.

oReduced milling and engineering costs.

•Inventory Management :

oFinished product model stock levels maintained.

oConsumable model stock levels maintained at agreed levels.

oVitamins and additives model stock levels maintained.

oManufacturing losses eliminated.

•Financial Management :

•Continuous Improvement.

•Zero write offs.

•Targeted production efficiencies achieved

•Corporate Governance:

oAdherence to Company Policies and Procedures.

oAdds to the value of the company and is also beneficial to all stakeholders in the long term.

•Health and Safety / RISK / Environmental:

oCompliance with Statutory and Company requirements at all times.

oAchieving targeted scores in all audits

•Quality Assurance :

oGood Manufacturing Practices in place and maintained.

oFood Safety adherence.

oCompliance to Legislation.

oConsistent finished product scores.

oDecrease in Customer complaints.

•Training, Staff Leadership and Teamwork:

oImprovement in plant availability and production efficiency %.

oReduction in product deviations.

oMaintain High morale.

•Operational:

oTargeted manufacturing efficiencies are achieved within prescribed quality specifications.

oMills run at design capacity.

oMilling downtime < 0.5% of the total milling hours in the mills.

Key Professional Competencies

Core knowledge – Academic – Qualified Wheat or Maize miller (both preferred) – SAGMA/GMF Trade Tested, Knowledge of fumigation on grain insects and the management thereof

Leadership - Owning it!, Driving long-term results, Staying a step-ahead.

Personal Effectiveness – Assertive and diplomatic
