POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBIITIES:

The incumbent of this post will be responsible for the following:

Manage and co-ordinate all aspects of projects:

• Guide and implement the project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation in line with project management methodology.
• Ensure projects are aligned to the Framework for Infrastructure Delivery and Procurement Management.
• Input/develop infrastructure plans in line with Government Immovable Asset Management Act (GIAMA).
• Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities, manage project estimates and controlling line with allocated budget, manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope, effectively apply methodology and enforce project standards to minimize risks on projects. Project accounting and financial management:
• Report project progress to the Director.
• Manage project budget and resources. Administration
• Provide inputs to other professionals with tender administration.
• Liaise and interact with service providers, clients and management.
• Develop terms of reference for identified projects
• Utilize resources allocated effectively. Research and policy development:
• Keep abreast with new technologies and procedures.
• Conduct research on and contribute to policy development.
• Liaise with relevant bodies/ councils on project management.
• Contribute towards the formulation of norms and standards when required.

• Registration certificate of the potential candidates as a Candidates Construction Project Manager with the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).
