Roles and Responsibilities Location: Benoni, Gauteng Salary: Up to R40,000 CTC Department: Projects \/ Engineering Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Mining \/ Mineral Processing \/ Industrial OEM About the Role Our client is seeking a highly organised and technically minded Project Document Controller \/ Project Coordinator to support the successful execution of mineral processing equipment and plant projects. Although the role carries a strong document-control function, the successful candidate will operate closely with the Project Management and Engineering teams, coordinating project documentation, tracking project progress, managing deliverables and ensuring that all project information is accurate, current and accessible throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will come from a mining, mineral processing, engineering, manufacturing or industrial OEM environment and understand the importance of document control within complex engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain project registers, trackers and document control systems. Ensure engineering drawings, specifications, reports and technical documentation are correctly controlled and updated. Coordinate the submission, review and approval of project documentation. Track project deliverables, deadlines and outstanding actions. Assist Project Managers with project planning and coordination. Coordinate documentation between engineering, procurement, production, workshop, suppliers and clients. Prepare project progress reports and status updates. Monitor project milestones and flag delays or outstanding deliverables. Maintain revision control and ensure teams are working from the latest documentation. Coordinate client and supplier documentation. Assist with project meetings, minutes and action registers. Follow up with internal departments and external suppliers on outstanding information. Support project close-out and ensure all final documentation is complete. Maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy project files. Assist with project handover documentation. Minimum Requirements Diploma \/ BTech \/ Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Document Control or a related field. 3-5 years' experience in project coordination, project administration or document control. Experience within mining, mineral processing, engineering, manufacturing, industrial OEM or similar project-based environments. Strong understanding of project documentation and document control processes. Experience working with engineering drawings and technical documentation. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Excellent organisational and administration skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Strong communication and follow-up skills. Ability to work with engineers, project managers, suppliers and clients. Preferred Experience Mining \/ mineral processing projects. Engineering OEM environment. Equipment manufacturing projects. Project scheduling and tracking. ERP systems. SharePoint or electronic document management systems. MS Project or similar project management software. Experience with engineering drawings and revision control. Procurement and supplier coordination. Project cost and progress tracking. Personal Attributes Highly organised and detail-oriented.
