Project Proposal Manager

SUMMARY:
An established leader in the industrial engineering sector is looking for an experienced Project Manager / Proposal Manager to take ownership of the complete project lifecycle—from developing winning technical proposals through to delivering complex engineering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Working closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and international suppliers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are commercially viable, technically accurate and successfully executed while building long-term client relationships across multiple industrial sectors.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Manage the full project lifecycle from enquiry, proposal development and tender submission through to project execution, commissioning and final handover. Prepare technical and commercial proposals, develop project costing models, evaluate commercial risks and ensure all submissions comply with contractual and technical requirements. Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing and Installation activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule and within budget. Monitor project profitability, cash flow, scope changes, variation orders and overall commercial performance while identifying opportunities to improve margins. Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and subcontractors by leading technical and commercial meetings and managing project communication throughout execution. Review engineering documentation, interpret technical drawings and process flow diagrams, coordinate design approvals and support manufacturing planning. Work closely with procurement teams to manage supplier performance, material deliveries, manufacturing schedules and international suppliers where required. Drive continuous improvement by enhancing proposal processes, project procedures, ERP utilisation, reporting dashboards and best practices across the business. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Process Engineering. 5-10 years' experience managing engineering projects from proposal through to completion. Proven experience in Proposal Management, Tender Management and Project Management within industrial manufacturing or EPC environments. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, profitability and contract negotiations. Previous exposure to mining, industrial engineering, manufacturing, process plants or related industries. Experience within industrial filtration or technical textiles will be highly advantageous.
