Quality Control Manager - Flavour and Fragrances

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to lead the QC Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing quality control strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and maintaining excellence across all quality processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Quality Control Department to ensure efficient and effective performance.
• Oversee and report on all QC activities to the Operations Director.
• Investigate and report on customer, supplier, and manufacturing complaints.
• Manage reassessments and ensure all materials’ shelf life is updated.
• Ensure accurate physical and sensory analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Verify allergens in finished goods and ensure all COA documentation is completed and stored.
• Ensure all instruments and scales are calibrated.
• Train staff on quality systems and standards (ISO, FSSC, SEDEX, etc.).
• Ensure incoming packaging materials are tested and correctly labelled.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering.
• Qualification in Quality Management Systems, Food Safety, Management Systems, and Health & Safety Management.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in Quality Control within the flavour and fragrance industry.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing a QC team.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000, and SEDEX standards.
• Excellent computer literacy and knowledge of industry regulations
