Quality and Safety Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client based in Heidelberg has a requirement for a dedicated, compliant, analytical team leader for a Quality and Safety Manager position.

POSITION INFO:
Education and Minimum Requirements

• Licensed aircraft maintenance engineer (preferred)
• Aircraft accident investigation qualification (preferrable)
• Suitable Aviation Quality and Safety Qualification
• Experience in Aviation Safety Management and Accident/Incident Investigation
• +- 5 years Aviation Quality and Safety Experience
• Demonstrate adequate knowledge of Aviation Laws, Regulations and Operating Standards
• Demonstrate adequate knowledge of the principles of Safety Management Systems (SMS)

• Able to run hi-tech machinery
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to make considered decisions and to communicate them effectively
• Problem-solving skills
• Planning and organisation skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and results-orientated
• Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, written)
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word)
• Willing and able to travel locally and internationally

• Responsible for the Safety and Quality oversight of all AMO operations in South Africa and International bases involving aircraft operating under all Approvals
• Implement Aviation Safety programmes and ensure promotion of employee awareness of customer and legislative requirements
• Ensure the required processes for the Safety and Quality Management System are established, implemented and maintained
• Manage all internal and external audits on AMO operations
• Oversee the compilation of relevant statistics on Aviation Safety Management and Quality Management KPI''s and report
• Monitor compliance of all activities with applicable legislation
• Assist the Post Holders in the development and effectiveness of base specific ERPs
• Conformance to the Company and Regulatory Aviation Quality and Safety Standards
• Ensure compliance with the Regulatory Authorities as per approved MOP and SMM
• Form strong relationships with the relevant authorities (local and international) through regular meetings and interactions
• Ensure a safe working environment and a fully implemented, up to date, accessible OHS Manual
