Regional Accountant

POSITION INFO:
Our client, a leading provider of hygiene services and facilities management solutions, is looking for a commercially minded Regional Accountant to oversee the financial performance of multiple branches. This is an opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys partnering with operational teams, driving financial discipline, and providing the insights that help businesses grow. In this role, you'll work closely with regional leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strengthen financial controls, and support strategic decision-making across a dynamic, service-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Manage the full accounting function for multiple branches within the region Prepare monthly management accounts and regional financial reports Analyse branch performance and provide meaningful commercial insights Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes Monitor cash flow, working capital, and operational expenditure Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial integrity Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, VAT, and company reporting requirements Partner with branch and regional management to improve profitability and operational performance Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvements Support internal and external audit requirements Assist with annual financial statements and month-end reporting Mentor and support finance administrators across the region where required Minimum Requirements BCom Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field SAIPA or SAICA Articles will be advantageous Minimum of 5 years' experience in a full-function accounting role Previous experience in a multi-site, branch, or regional finance environment will be advantageous Experience within facilities management, hygiene services, logistics, security, cleaning services, or other service-based industries is highly advantageous Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience working with ERP or integrated financial systems Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Who Will Thrive in This Role?
