Regional Credit Manager

POSITION INFO:
A well-established national organisation is looking for an experienced Regional Credit Manager to join its finance team in Midrand . This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and results-driven credit professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of leading teams, strengthening collections, managing credit risk, and driving operational improvements . As Regional Credit Manager, you will take ownership of the regional credit function, ensuring effective accounts receivable management, strong credit controls, accurate reporting, and adherence to company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can motivate a team while building strong relationships across the business. Key Responsibilities: Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the regional credit control team. Drive team performance through KPIs, regular reviews, coaching, and development initiatives. Oversee the full accounts receivable and collections function. Monitor debtor ageing and implement effective strategies to improve collections and reduce overdue balances. Ensure accurate customer account maintenance, reconciliations, and adherence to agreed payment terms. Assess and manage credit risk, identifying potential high-risk customers and taking appropriate action. Implement, maintain, and improve credit policies, procedures, and internal controls. Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve account and payment-related issues. Liaise with legal representatives on escalated and overdue accounts when required. Prepare and analyse debtor ageing, collection performance, and management reports. Provide accurate debtor information to support month-end and year-end reporting. Assist with banking, invoicing, and other finance-related activities where required. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the efficiency of the credit function. Ensure compliance with audit requirements, financial regulations, and internal company policies. Partner with key stakeholders across the business to drive improved cash flow and overall financial performance. Job Experience and Skills Required: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Credit Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years' experience within credit control or accounts receivable. At least 2 years' experience managing a credit or debtors team . Retail or FMCG industry experience will be highly advantageous. Strong understanding of credit risk management and accounts receivable processes. Experience analysing debtor ageing, collections, and financial performance. Exposure to Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools will be advantageous. Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills will be advantageous. Apply now!
