Regional Financial Controller | CA(SA) with Strong Tax Expertise

POSITION INFO:
Key Areas of Responsibility Financial Reporting & Group Consolidation Lead the preparation of annual financial statements and statutory reporting. Manage complex group consolidations across multiple entities. Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal reporting standards. Prepare Board reports, shareholder reporting packs, and executive presentations. Drive high-quality management reporting and financial analysis. Tax, Compliance & Governance Oversee all tax-related matters, including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance. Manage SARS submissions, audits, and regulatory reporting. Maintain robust governance frameworks, internal controls, and financial policies. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and best-practice financial governance standards. Strategic Finance & Business Partnering Partner with executive leadership teams to support strategic decision-making. Review business performance and provide commercially focused insights and recommendations. Support acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and funding initiatives. Drive financial performance through robust analysis and operational support. Leadership Lead and develop regional finance teams. Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and executive leadership teams. Essential Requirements Qualifications ✅ CA(SA) ✅ Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience Experience The successful candidate must demonstrate strong experience in: Group reporting and consolidations IFRS financial reporting Annual financial statement preparation External audit management Financial governance and controls South African tax legislation and compliance Company law and regulatory requirements Strategic financial management and business partnering Stakeholder engagement at Executive and Board level Sage and advanced Microsoft Office Ideal Candidate Profile You are: A strategic finance leader rather than a purely technical tax specialist. Strong in both financial reporting and governance. Comfortable operating at Board and Executive level. Commercially astute with excellent analytical skills. Experienced in complex group structures and multi-entity environments. Able to balance tax, reporting, compliance, and business strategy responsibilities.
