About the Role We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Regional Manager: Procurement to join a leading organization in Johannesburg. This role is pivotal in overseeing the full procurement lifecycle, from sourcing high-quality raw materials to managing supplier relationships and driving organizational cost-saving initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing supply chain efficiencies and maintaining effective financial controls within a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Source and maintain a network of cost-effective suppliers that provide high-quality raw materials and packaging. Manage a supplier database ensuring full compliance with BEE standards and organizational requirements. Monitor and report on stock levels to ensure the timely supply of goods while managing and reducing raw material wastage. Establish and maintain constructive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure procurement requirements are prioritized. Manage and set the regional procurement budget, maintaining rigorous financial controls and reporting structures. Advise the executive team on potential savings opportunities, procurement risks, and alternative sourcing strategies. Accurately forecast raw material requirements in collaboration with relevant departments. Negotiate and manage optimal contractual relationships with all suppliers to ensure delivery performance and quality standards. Oversee the management of slow-moving stock and drive continuous improvement in purchasing processes. Stay abreast of technical improvements and industry trends to enhance price negotiations and budgetary management. Requirements A Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 5 - 7 years of proven experience in Procurement, Sourcing, or Supply Chain Management. Strong negotiation and contract management skills with a track record of achieving cost savings. Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and influence stakeholders. Advanced proficiency in procurement software and the Microsoft Office suite. Excellent analytical, numeracy, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and think logically in complex situations. An assertive, enthusiastic, and self-energized professional approach.
