ON Con Sales Manager needed for a leading spirits company in Gauteng.

POSITION INFO:

Regional Sales Manager: On-Consumption - Gauteng

 

Our Client is presently the largest privately owned wine and spirits merchant in South Africa. A tireless dedication to hard work, honesty and the personal touch has led to long standing and well trusted relationships with some of the most successful spirit brands in the world.

Reporting to the National On-Trade Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining a high performance sales organization in the On Trade Sector. You will need to demonstrate the ability to professionally develop and coach teams, strategy development, project management skills, problem solving, change management skills, ability to present information both verbally and in writing, exceptional negotiation skills, ability to build positive working relationships both internally and externally.

 

To qualify, you will need:

A relevant Bachelor’s degree, or similar

  • At least 6 years in a Senior Sales Management role, with proven knowledge and expertise of the On Trade market is required.
  • Knowledge of the liquor market would count in your favour, but solid FMCG experience in the on Trade market would be considered
  • Proven ability to build, develop, lead and manage a high performance sales team is critical 
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends engaging with trade partners and staff events etc.

 

Key performance areas will be the delivery of:

 

  • · Manage brand performance by channel and outlet
  • · Ensure that volume is a key driver of all activities
  • · Identify availability and volume opportunities
  • · Achieve availability ,volume and regional market share targets
  • · Management and development of the On-Con team
  • · Ensure correct implementation of national promotions
  • · Design and implement innovative regional promotions
  • · Ensure adherence to promotional standards
  • · Manage return on investment of promotions
  • · Ensure that all discounts offered fall within the parameters of the quality discount and strategic schedule
  • · Communicate all credit risks and irregularities in trade to regional General Manager
  • · 100% market penetration as per regional KPIs
  • · Compile weekly and monthly reports
  • · Ensure effective interaction with telesales team
