Are you a technically strong life actuary with deep reporting experience across IFRS 9 and IFRS 17? This role is ideal for an actuarial professional who thrives in assumption setting, model development, reserving calculations, and delivering highâquality financial reporting within a global environment.

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly analytical Life Actuary – Reporting to join a dynamic actuarial team with international exposure. This role focuses on endâtoâend actuarial reporting, including IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 valuations, assumption calculations, model development, and reserving activities.
You will work closely with senior actuarial stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely reporting while also contributing to the refinement and optimisation of valuation models, processes, and methodologies. This is a highly technical role suited to someone who enjoys complexity, rigorous analysis, and global best practices in actuarial reporting.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform actuarial reporting under IFRS 9 and IFRS 17, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Conduct assumption setting, assumption reviews, and detailed actuarial calculations.
Build, refine, and maintain actuarial models used for reporting, reserving, and forecasting.
Calculate life insurance reserving figures and support regulatory and financial submissions.
Collaborate with international teams to align methodology, reporting standards, and bestâpractice processes.
Provide technical insights, analysis, and commentary to senior actuarial stakeholders.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:

Nearly qualified actuary with 7–8 actuarial exams completed.

Experience:

4 years’ actuarial experience, preferably in life insurance reporting, valuation, or reserving.
Experience in IFRS 9, IFRS 17, and life actuarial reporting cycles.
International exposure strongly advantageous.

Technical Skills:

Strong modelling capability and ability to build/maintain valuation models.
Proficiency in actuarial modelling software or coding tools (e.g., R, Python, Prophet, SQL, Excel/VBA).
Strong understanding of actuarial methodologies, assumptions, reserving frameworks, and reporting controls.

Soft Skills:

High analytical rigour and strong problemâsolving ability.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex actuarial concepts.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage tight reporting deadlines.
