SUMMARY:
Our client a dynamic company involved in construction, project management, and specialist subcontracting, is looking for a skilled Site Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. This role requires an operations-inclined professional with at least 5 years’ experience on long-duration projects valued between R70 million and R120 million, based in Wetton, Western Cape

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

Minimum qualification: BSc in Civil Engineering, must be a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng), or Professional Engineering Technologist in Electrical or equivalent
Minimum 5 - 10 years' experience in the large or commercial builds
Strong understanding of construction methods, QA/QC systems, and National Building Regulations
Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with design, technical specs, and safety standards
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site teams
Track construction progress, update programmes, and maintain QA records
Conduct daily inspections and generate photographic reports
Liaise with QS to support claims, cost control, and resource planning
Handle site documentation including EOTs, NOPDs, and IRSs
Supervise junior engineers, foremen, and maintain site productivity
Support procurement, material delivery, and site logistics
Must be proficient in English
Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license is required
Computer literate on CCS, Buildsmart is required, with MS Office, and experience in using MS Project for project scheduling
