POSITION INFO:

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER - BRITS 

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Manage both the raw material store, establishing appropriate policies & procedures to ensure stock accuracies, stock availability & minimize stock losses.               

• Receive customer orders and forecasts and use them to develop a master production schedule.

• Lead and run the daily/weekly/monthly S&OP                    • Manage the MRP process to ensure the availability of raw materials via SAP, including the release of PR’s to Procurement Manage the procurement & goods receiving processes.

• Define and continuously review and safety stock levels for all materials                                                                       •  Develop detailed production plans, machine scheduling??, in conjunction with the production.                                       • Manage & coordinate the production, costing & control process including material usage variances and manufacturing order closeout variances and investigate the root cause of variances and implement permanent solutions to eradicate these variances.                     

• Manage the invoicing of products and the resolution of customer queries regards to deliveries and lead times.

•Ensure that SHEQ EHSEE policies and procedures are adhered to in the Materials Management processes, especially wrt materials handling. 

• Manage resolution of internal customer queries with regards to deliveries and lead times                                    

•  Coordinate with procurement and production on delivery of raw materials, and expedite shortages.

EDUCATION:

•   BSc Eng/B.Comm (Industrial/Logistics)   

•  The incumbent must have 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in MRP.     

 •  Production planning, Internal Logistics.             

•   Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma would be advantageous.                                             

• SAP (ERP system)                                                             FORMATION:

• Proven experience as Inventory manager or other managerial roles

• Experience in Inventory planning

• Solid understanding to Manage & coordinate the production, costing & control process

• Working knowledge of production on delivery of raw materials and expedite shortages

•  Ability to keep track of and report on activity
