JOB SUMMARY:
Our client a leader in Fluid Engineering is seeking a SACPCMP registered Safety Representative to be based in Mkhizwana, KZN.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Safety Representative will be responsible to carry out the expected duties and tasks of a Safety Officer & Safety Manager for a construction site as stipulated by the OSH Act and or the specific requirements of the client in line with their specifications relating to roles and responsibilities of this appointment. Required to assist in carrying out some of the environmental management tasks which are requested of the main contractor.

The below indicates some of the roles and responsibilities of the position:

Registered and in good standing with the SACPCMP.
That all work is performed by suitably trained and competent persons.
That all statutory appointments have been completed and all statutory requirements are met.
That, where required, health and safety committees are established, that meetings are accordingly held and that the minutes of such meetings are kept and properly filed.
That all persons are aware of the hazards attached to the work being carried out and are fully conversant regarding the precautionary measures to be taken or observed to obviate such dangers.
That the required risk assessments are carried out.
That discipline is always enforced at the construction site.
That any other interests, in terms of health and safety with respect to the responsible area, are met.
