Job & Company Description
A reputable organisation based in Parktown is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, managing reporting processes, and supporting the business through insightful financial analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
Oversee month-end and year-end reporting processes
Perform and review complex balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful business insights
Manage compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
Support external audits and statutory reporting requirements
Monitor cash flow and assist with working capital management
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial efficiency

Qualifications and Skills

BCom Accounting qualification is essential
Completed articles are required
2 to 3 years of post-articles accounting experience
Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting principles
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
