SUMMARY:
Procurement services required in the Western Cape, Northern Suburbs, Cape Town

POSITION INFO:
Execute integrated sourcing and procurement processes by following prescribed procedures
Independently access and analyse procurement information
Perform dual adjudication of tenders and management of contract/purchase orders
Negotiate and conclude agreements
Consult with supervisor to manage risk/problems
Support the end user achieve the services
Meet requirements of service level agreements
Implement cost reduction and price containment strategies
Gather end-user information
Scrutinise purchase requests for logic description, specifications, lead time and availability of funds.
Verify user specification documentation is signed off prior to issue to the market.
Evaluate process options and select appropriate mechanism.
Develop procurement strategy.
Compile and issue enquiry to the market.
Source and select supplier base.
Financial and contractual risks identified and confirmed i.e. forex, hedging, performance etc.
Develop terms and conditions of contract using approved templates.
Execute and implement modifications and deviations to contracts.
Compile confidential evaluation report culminating into the most viable business decision.
Co-ordinate the evaluation of tenders, financially, legally, technically and commercially. 
Interface with procurement tender committees.
Conduct negotiations for low value and lost risk items.
Identify new materials for codification.
Perform procurement and contract administration.
Load concluded contracts/purchase orders in the SAP system.
Prepare and present a mandate and feedback report for approval by delegated authorities.
Co-ordinate negotiation meeting and compile minutes.
Conclude contracts/purchase orders.
Co-ordinate and facilitate meetings required for clarification purposes and act as single point of contact between Eskom & supplier.
Facilitate contracts/purchase order award.
Co-ordinate the establishment of a cross functional team.
Ensure team signed off meeting minutes of agreed specifications.
Expedite or de-expedite deliveries in consultation with end-users and suppliers.
SAP authorisation
3 yr National diploma/CIPS NQF level 5
National diploma perferable  in Purchasing Management;Logistics; Supply Chain
