Senior Cloud Engineer

POSITION INFO:
Role Purpose: 
As the leading Digital partner in the Technology future, our client is looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team where you will get the opportunity to work on industry leading projects and systems.
 
You will be responsible for navigating all our customers’ cloud computing objectives, including infrastructure deployment, maintenance, support and planning, and everything in between. 
 
In this role as a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting and configuring various Microsoft cloud-based products. These products include Office 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, and MS Teams. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Microsoft solutions and remain up-to-date on the latest functionality and new features. Candidates must have experience working with Office 365, including a strong knowledge of supporting the technical implementation and setup.

Key Accountabilities: 

• Contribute to and support the Company''s enterprise Cloud strategy, standards and best practices associated with all aspects on cloud offerings
• Champion the adoption of Office 365 services as appropriate for our business
• Manage and monitor Office 365 services where necessary for the Company''s customers
• Deploy, administer, and support Office 365 Azure and Exchange policies
• Migration of data into the Office 365 cloud platform including tenant-to-tenant migrations
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services
• Monitor and communicate to stakeholders the performance of the services.
• Deliver a consistent process for incident and problem escalation along with resolution
• Assist with the creation of policies around the proper use of Office 365 services and support.
• Administer and support Office 365 and MS Exchange policies
• Using PowerShell to deploy resources and repeatable deployments with ARM templates. 
• Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed
• Attend training and / or courses pertaining to the delivery of the above-mentioned service areas, as agreed by delivery EHOD.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and software licenses.
• Develop and maintenance Statement of Work and ad-hoc project tracking documentation

• Matric Certificate / National Senior certificate. 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
• Certification as a Microsoft Azure Administrator and Microsoft Azure Architect, absolute requirement
• Solid working knowledge of on-prem Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
• Microsoft certifications a must
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Proficient knowledge of Windows operating systems
  Familiar with migration of tenant-to-tenant tools
• Solid working experience with O365 migration methodologies
