Senior Credit Controller

Are you an experienced Credit Controller with a strong track record in managing high-value debtors’ books and leading a team?
Our client is looking for a Senior Credit Controller who will take ownership of the full credit control function while supervising a team of five Junior Credit Controllers. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven, organised and commercially minded credit professional who enjoys working in a high-volume environment and delivering measurable collection results.

POSITION INFO:
Manage and actively monitor a high-value debtors' book. Supervise, support and guide five Junior Credit Controllers , ensuring that collection targets and deadlines are consistently achieved. Follow up on overdue accounts and implement effective collection strategies. Work closely with collection agencies where required. Ensure debtor accounts and records are accurately maintained and updated. Prepare and distribute monthly debtor statements. Capture payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts. Monitor outstanding balances, DSO and collection performance. Prepare and submit monthly reports on overdue debt and expected payments. Participate actively in monthly debtors' meetings. Assist with year-end audit requirements. Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers. Identify and resolve account queries and collection challenges. Ensure that all credit control processes are followed accurately, ethically and within required deadlines. Minimum Requirements Matric - non-negotiable. Credit Control Certificate\/Diploma advantageous. 5-10 years' Credit Control experience , preferably managing a high-value debtors' book. Previous experience supervising or mentoring a team will be highly advantageous. SAP Business One experience is preferred. CGIC experience will be advantageous. Strong understanding of credit control, collections and debtor reconciliations. Strong numerical and analytical ability. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines. High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
