Senior Data Engineer

SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL\/ELT pipelines using Python and SQL to support data integration and analytics initiatives. Integrate and harmonise data from multiple sources, including transactional, financial, and CRM systems. Deliver high-quality, reliable data products for reporting, analytics, and business intelligence. Implement data quality controls, monitoring, and performance optimisation to ensure data accuracy and availability. Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to improve data accessibility and governance. Maintain documentation, technical standards, and best practices for data architecture, version control, and deployment. Research and implement new data technologies and solutions to enhance efficiency and scalability. Technology Environment Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL Programming: Python, SQL Data Orchestration: Airflow or similar workflow management tools Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role. Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL for data engineering, transformation, and automation. Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale data pipelines. Proficiency with data orchestration and workflow management tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Advantageous Experience Data warehouse design and dimensional modelling. Exposure to SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Sage One, Xero, Business Central, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dataverse. Agile\/Scrum development methodologies. Experience within the payments, fintech, or financial services sector.
