A position as a Senior Financial Manager has become available at a Mining company in Bryanston.

Qualification and experience: Matric, Qualified CA, BCom Qualification, Minimum of 8 years’ work experience, post articles, in similar role

1. Roles and Responsibilites

1. Provide financial and analytical support;
2. Implementation of controls for stock, operations purchases, asset maintenance, creditors, debtors, bank and cash; and monitoring of all implementations across the Group;
3. Ensure all controls are managed and monitored appropriately and discrepancies are reported and resolved appropriately;
4. Preparation of financial records;
5. Preparation of all taxation submissions - No penalties incurred or non-compliance notices from SARS;
6. Maintain treasury function and cashflows;
7. Review all tax returns and co-ordination with tax consultant on timeous submission of income tax returns; and Review VAT and PAYE are processed correctly on a monthly basis;
8. Responsible for financial, tax and internal control matters including all internal, external, government and audits;
9. Preparation of internal and external rporting;
10. SENS announcements are prepared timeously and accurately;
11. Ensure that an effective control environment exists through compliance with all Group and local control frameworks, policies, and procedures as relevant;
12. Liaison with the auditors and answering any queries that might arise as a consequence of the year end and interim reviews;
13. Prepare or oversee preparation of interim and annual corporate tax returns and ensure that they are filed in accordance with reporting requirements and deadlines;
14. Management of th finance team; and
15. Any ad-hoc duties which are assigned.

1. Maintain a current knowledge of corporate accounting policies, financial reporting requirements, and provide related direction and support to management and staff;

5. Computer skills including the ability to operate computerised accounting, spreadsheet and word-processing programs at a highly proficient level.
