POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting & Governance: Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, annual, and statutory financial reports. Ensure financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance across the organisation. Compile executive and board-level reporting packs with strategic insights and recommendations. Analyse business performance, financial risks, and growth opportunities. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments. Ensure compliance with IFRS, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning: Drive the annual budgeting process across business units. Lead forecasting cycles and deliver accurate financial projections. Develop and consolidate strategic financial plans. Perform detailed variance analysis and identify performance improvement opportunities. Partner with operational leaders to support business objectives and profitability. Business Partnering & Commercial Finance: Deliver strategic financial analysis to support growth initiatives and business decisions. Provide actionable insights that improve operational and financial performance. Drive data-driven decision-making through advanced financial modelling and analysis. Promote a culture of accountability, efficiency, and financial discipline. Finance Transformation & Process Improvement: Continuously improve reporting processes, controls, and financial systems. Lead automation and reporting enhancement initiatives. Drive finance transformation projects focused on efficiency and data quality. Ensure all reporting deadlines and deliverables are achieved. Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership. Build strong relationships across finance, operations, and external stakeholders. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team. Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement. Risk, Compliance & Audit: Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks. Maintain strong internal controls and governance standards. Support internal and external audits and drive the resolution of findings. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA(SA) qualification is essential. Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience within a senior finance leadership role. Proven experience managing and developing finance teams. Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering. Experience within a retail, FMCG, commercial, or high-volume corporate environment will be highly advantageous. Strong knowledge of IFRS, governance, and compliance frameworks. Advanced proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Google Workspace . Exceptional analytical, commercial, and strategic thinking skills.
