JOB SUMMARY:
Purpose of the role -To ensure manufacturing and assembly of railway braking systems by supervising team leaders and process owners in a production environment for the purpose of achieving operational goals; setting up and maintaining workstations, organizing and monitoring workflow.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Objectives:
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Formal Education/Training
- Possession of an Electrical / Mechanical or Instrumentation trade certificate
- Proficient in MS Office
- Industrial Engineering (Methods Engineering) or Management Diploma/Degree
- 5 -7 Years’ experience in a manufacturing environment as a leader
- Solid knowledge and experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement practices and procedures
Essential work skills
- Background in resource levelling and customer relations, minimum 2 years’ experience - Knowledge of OSHE act – desirable
