JOB SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and highly experienced Digital Transformation Program Manager within the heavy industrial services sector, based in Elandfontein, Johannesburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Purpose and Scope:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the incumbent manages the digital project portfolio of the local company entity in terms of fit to overall Roadmap, budget, planning, execution and sustainability. They work with all company departments most notably human resources, finance and operations teams as customer and group international digital development teams. Other interfaces include; external product suppliers to deliver the company digital roadmap that provides optimized tools to support efficient and relevant in line with an established strategic digital roadmap, establish and map manual business systems and processes, design user requirement specifications, align with organizational and industry knowledge and best practice, explore market make-buy solutions, support procurement, establish development and roll our approach, manage design deployment and integration.
The incumbent will function as the ‘Digital Champion’ as the local face of digital will assure the delivery of the local and global organizational digital roadmap objectives; specifically digital back office, digital operations, new business models / customer experiences, digital foundations, governance skills and culture over a period of 3-4 years.
With the benefit of independent lead experience the successful candidate will be expected to deploy selected initiatives independently lead with operational level support from operators, product suppliers, freelance developers etc. Moving from the organizations digital maturity from functionally separate through fully integrated model, as such fundamental full stack understanding imperative.

Qualification and Competencies:

Innovative mindset to improve business processes and implement disrupters by way of digitalization
> Self-motivation and change management to drive digital transformation in the country
> Experience 5-15 years data analysis, informatics, digital systems integration experience for business improvement environment.
> Digital Initiatives Project Management experience. Waterfall and Agile approach.
> Mandatory education level is BSc in information Systems/Data Science alternatively undergraduate degree with post graduate specialization in fields of BI, Informatics, Accounting, Business Administration will be an advantage.
> Experience in consultancy environment an advantage.
> Verifiable evidence of first-hand, hands on experience in leading and deploying digital business improvement initiatives.
> Full stack software development contribution experience mandatory. Front end, database and mobile focus.
> Working knowledge SAP ERP, HTML/PHP, AWS/MS Azure, SQL databases, BI Analytics, RPA, MS Apps, Jira/Wrike
> Backed coding VB, Java, python added advantage.
> Capable of deploying on premise, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS
> The position requires the individual to have a higher than average level of technical and management skills with the following attributes:

The Main Responsibilities are:
> Advises and consults local management on make-buy digital initiatives/projects using robust decision theory and financial basis.
> Fills the local idea funnel for digital projects in alignment with the global project portfolio manager and
> Develops and manages local digital portfolio ensuring the application of internal digital governance model rules
> Supports the local project managers to use templates, tools and processes of the Stage Gate process
> Stays abreast and aligned with industry best practice, innovates with emerging technology
> Establishes and manages pilots studies with operational departments and suppliers to support decision making
> Manages all digital initiatives as end-2-end projects inception cost schedule and quality. Functional relationship.
> Supports and establishes strong technical environment in support of business analytics in support of monitoring business objectives
> Develops and manages training program in support of organizational digital operational capabilities
> Plans, deploys and tracks roll out specific change management and sustainability plans and tracks
