Senior Solutions Architect

SUMMARY:
Role Summary:

• The Senior Solutions Architect forms part of the Architecture team and works closely alongside the other architects to ensure overall Software Implementation capabilities are aligned across the company
• The role will advise and guide the solution development team and solution architecture team on best practices and ensure that the company procedures and principles are adhered to, and solutions developed are of the optimal standard and quality and to the companies expectations
• The role contributes to defining and designing architectural solutions, processes, and principles across all verticals, which contribute to the company's overall vision. The role provides implementation and solution architecture support across all implementation processes, including SLA (Operations) and Implementation.
• The role also provides technical guidance and training to the implementation teams and ensures the implementations follow the company's configuration principles
• Furthermore, the Senior Solutions Architect supports the Sales, Product Management, and Client Delivery teams through knowledge of the product or product line by providing presales support, solution planning, product management expertise, and customer support

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Minimum Grade 12; a relevant Information Technology qualification is strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012+, MySQL, and cloud implementation architectures
• Proven experience in a Senior Developer, Team Lead, or Solution/Implementation Architect role
• Experience leading architectural delivery on complex software implementation projects
• Familiarity with Agile Project Management methodologies
• Experience engaging directly with clients at a senior technical level
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior technical team members
• In-depth Insurance Knowledge (Commercial, Personal)
• Experience in an InsurTech or Insurance software environment is strongly preferred
• Relevant Microsoft or Cloud certifications are advantageous

• Deep knowledge of solution and implementation architecture principles and practices
• Ability to define, document, and refine architectural standards at a team level
• Proficiency in cloud architectures, integration patterns, and the companies configuration principles
• Ability to model and graphically represent complex architectural concepts

• Good understanding of Insurance concepts
• Ability to implement insurance-based contextual systems
• Able to hold conversations relating to Insurance and the application requirements

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior-to-mid technical team members
• Strong facilitation skills for running workshops, technical reviews, and client discovery sessions
• Ability to act decisively and lead the team independently when the VP is unavailable
• Strong relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholders

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present and market architectural solutions to clients and internal audiences
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts clearly for non-technical stakeholders
