SUMMARY:
Our client specializes in project support for the (petro)chemical and maritime industries. They provide personnel in the areas of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety. They are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their
team in the Netherlands.

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Senior Structural Design Engineer
Location: Netherlands

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
5-10 years of experience in structural design, with leadership and project management skills.
Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:

Proficiency in structural analysis tools (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000); advanced proficiency preferred for senior roles.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborative teamwork and continuous improvement.

Duties and responsibilities:

Develop and review detailed structural designs and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety and industry standards.
Perform structural analysis and calculations using advanced software to ensure the integrity and functionality of designs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and project managers, to integrate structural designs with overall project goals.
Manage project workflows, including documentation, revisions, and approvals, with senior engineers overseeing more complex tasks and mentoring junior engineers.
Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
