JOB SUMMARY:
A vacancy for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist has become available in SRK Consulting’s Johannesburg office.  Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates.
Description:
The candidate will be ultimately responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance, enablement, and support to the Company Ensuring continuous improvement of recruitment effectiveness and to proactively source talent for specific positions in line with HR strategy, transformation plans and the Company’s standards and requirements. The objective of this role is to deliver a professional end-to-end recruitment service aligned to the talent and transformation requirements of the business by managing the end-end recruitment process from profiling to the placement of successful candidates for specified vacancies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Experience and Skills
The candidate must have the following:
  • HR degree or equivalent.
  • 6-8 years' experience in a generalist HR or Recruitment specialist role in a corporate environment.
  • 2 - 3 years' experience in a recruitment agency.
  • Experience in successfully placing candidates without the use of external agencies.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • Experience using LinkedIn and Placement partner (Advanced Boolean search function skills).
  • Competency-based interviewing.
  • Research and learning skills.
  • Process control tracking and reporting skills.
  • Business acumen and strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Have a minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Registration with a professional body.
  • Certified biometrics officer (MIE or LexisNexis).
  • Experience in WSP and ATR submission and accreditation of training courses would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work in an integrated HR team supporting other HR department sections as and when required.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Responsible for all talent acquisition strategies to ensure that the best talent is sourced.
  • Responsible for all recruitment at SRK from the advertising stage to the onboarding stage.
  • Representing SRK as a Brand Ambassador and establishing networks by deleveling a strong presence on all relevant advertising platforms.
  • Regular feedback on the recruitment function service levels and corrective action with the relevant stakeholders.
  • To transform the SRK’s recruitment function to the "internal agency of choice" by:
  • delivering a credible and professional recruitment experience in collaboration with the relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • work closely with businesses to plan and implement cost-effective recruitment.
  • Network with internal and external stakeholders to build and expand the candidate network and build credibility for the "agency of choice" model.
  • Continuously build and maintain relationships with management and external service providers through regular and productive engagement and communication.
  • Track and evaluate talent skills and trends to mitigate risk, ensure contingency and capitalize on opportunities through collaboration with management.
  • Provide talent trends and career trends to support future talent acquisition by:
    • Identify global talent trends impacting our critical talent market and suggest mitigation actions.
    • External benchmarking of recruitment practises tools and systems to optimise our own where possible.
    • Review recruitment system data analytics from existing recruitment portals to provide talent acquisition insights on which platforms offer the best return on investment or which employers we compete against for talent hires.
  • To build recruitment execution capabilities through advice, guidance, coaching, and training in line with SRK’s standards, requirements, and plans.
  • Assist with talent management and internal training duties.
