About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level Sensor Systems Engineer to join our team in Lynwood, Pretoria. This role focuses on the integration, deployment, and execution of sensor-based systems in real-world environments.
This is not a deep embedded firmware development position — we have dedicated in-house capability for that. Instead, we are looking for a practical, systems-focused engineer who thrives at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and software integration.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Integrate mechanical, electrical, and sensor subsystems into complete solutions
Support deployment and commissioning of sensor-based systems in the field
Collaborate closely with embedded engineers to support firmware integration
Troubleshoot and optimise system performance in operational environments
Assist with system testing, validation, and refinement
Contribute to continuous improvement of integration and deployment processes

Required Experience & Qualifications

3–5 years’ engineering experience
Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Strong practical, hands-on systems integration experience
Experience working with sensors in real-world environments
Working knowledge of C/C++ and/or Python (supporting level — not architecture ownership)
