Key Responsibilities

The specialist leads the product lifecycle, from driving innovation in design to maintaining market leadership. Primary duties include:

Product Development: Overseeing and enhancing pricing models to ensure financial soundness and competitiveness.
Strategic Oversight: Presenting proposals and insights to governance forums and monitoring market trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Expert Guidance: Providing technical expertise on complex pricing and special quote scenarios while balancing the needs of various stakeholders.
Collaboration & Leadership: Working closely with actuarial, finance, distribution, and IT teams to implement enhancements.

Mentorship: Fostering a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing junior product specialists and analysts.

Professional Requirements

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who relentlessly pursues goals and stays current with industry legislation. Required qualifications include:

Education: An academically qualified associate or fellow actuary.
Experience: A minimum of three years within the life insurance or investments industry
Technical Skills: Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to interrogate complex data
Advantageous Expertise: Prior experience in product development, pricing, or working specifically with guaranteed annuities and structured products.
