JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client has just secured new business with a global company and together with that an opportunity for a shopper marketing Account Manager has become available.

 

Responsibilities

  • Actively seek out new and potential business
  • Proactive in converting client’s occasional business to long term contractual business for the business unit
  • Ensure the maintenance of contracts for the business unit
  • Ensure the maximum extraction value from clients
  • Contribute to weekly sales report meetings
  • Develop strategic business plans
  • Formulation and implementation of account development plans
  • Prepare and present plan to achieve objectives (key account plan)
  • Provide category and merchandise strategy consulting to key clients in order to support their retail operations
  • Analyse and review services to client promotional strategies
  • Provide brands with insights on formal and informal retail execution opportunities and challenges
  • Work with brands to align their strategies with that of the key retail partners
  • Managing forecast and budgets aligned with the company 
  • Provide an internal review and critique service to creative pitch work for brands to validate optimal channel impact
  • Effective communication with creative and shopper marketing team
  • Advise management about market conditions, brand / product performance and competition affecting targeted industries
  • Provide manager with weekly sales report
  • Track and report on key sales indicators to Sales manager
  • Study the operations and performance of accounts and analyse competitive activity
  • Establish (with senior management) job development objectives and carry out plans to achieve them

 

Requirements

  • Related degree or post graduate qualification
  • Minimum 5-10 year’s experience in shopper marketing, data, BTL experience
  • Strategic thinking
  • Must be a visionary in thought
  • Strong communication, inter-personal, leadership skills
  • A keen understanding of people and customers’ needs
  • Must be customer focused and flexible with good relationship-building skills
  • Work with multiple projects under strict deadlines
  • Candidate must be creative, imaginative, persistent, innovative
  • Must be well-read, open to new ideas and influences and quick to react to changing trends
  • Good business sense and sales ability with strong presentation skills
