Snr Procurement Officer, Boksburg, R480 – 680 000 ctc (Not negotiable)

• Must have 10 years’ experience in managing a procurement team of Senior and Junior buyers
• Should have experience in FMCG, Building Materials, Agriculture or Forestry
• Must understand exclusivity, pricing, route to market / value chains, cycle deals, claims process, rebates and settlements.
• Understanding of Exports and shipping.
• Experience in Operations and Logistics would be advantageous
• Successful track record of procurement at an Executive level
• Exp in SAP.

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Management of a team of both Senior and Junior Buyers
• Grow the procurement department both in terms of knowledge and capacity
• Develop and manage the procurement supply chain
• Build strategic relationships with suppliers
• Empower and motivate procurement team
• Work closely with the sales team
• Identify opportunities to negotiate improved deals and pricing
• Identify and Implement cost saving and cost cutting initiatives
• Review current procurement policies and procedures and make recommendations where appropriate.
• Problem solving and Claim resolution
