JOB DESCRIPTION:

Snr Procurement Officer, Boksburg, R480 – 680 000 ctc (Not negotiable)

Must have 10 years’ experience in managing a procurement team of Senior and Junior buyers
Should have experience in FMCG, Building Materials, Agriculture or Forestry
Must understand exclusivity, pricing, route to market / value chains, cycle deals, claims process, rebates and settlements.
Understanding of Exports and shipping.
Experience in Operations and Logistics would be advantageous
Successful track record of procurement at an Executive level
Exp in SAP.

Key responsibilities include the following:

Management of a team of both Senior and Junior Buyers
Grow the procurement department both in terms of knowledge and capacity
Develop and manage the procurement supply chain
Build strategic relationships with suppliers
Empower and motivate procurement team
Work closely with the sales team
Identify opportunities to negotiate improved deals and pricing
Identify and Implement cost saving and cost cutting initiatives
Review current procurement policies and procedures and make recommendations where appropriate.
Problem solving and Claim resolution
