Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for and involved in the planning, managing and executing projects related to the field of social performance management. These projects will include socio-economic impact assessment, development and implementation of social management and monitoring plans, resettlement action plans, stakeholder engagement plans and socio-economic development plans. The role will involve work on a national and international level encompassing the following: proposal writing; fieldwork planning and execution; data analysis; stakeholder engagement; technical reporting; client liaison; internal and external resourcing (e.g. contractors); logistics planning; and budgeting and quality assurance.

Qualification and Skills:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

A Masters-level qualification in Social Sciences or similar.
A minimum of 8 years’ experience as a social consultant.
Experience in economic assessments (would be advantageous).
Proficiency in English (additional languages will be an added advantage).
Possession of a valid driver’s license and passport as well as own transport.
Be able to travel internationally on projects.
Strong report writing and verbal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
Ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet project deadlines.
Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
