SUMMARY:
Our client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Solution Architect to join our IT team. This is a key leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-level information systems and architectures that support our critical business functions.

POSITION INFO:
Key respsonsibilities

Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement long-term IT strategies and roadmaps.
Align solutions with organisational goals and business functions.
Research emerging technologies and recommend best-fit solutions.

Architecture Development

Design solution architecture models and detailed product specifications.
Translate business and functional requirements into architectural designs.
Provide expert input on integration, performance, and scalability of systems.

Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a liaison between IT and business units.
Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
Mediate technical conflicts and drive equitable architectural decisions.

Analysis & Support

Conduct system analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
Guide the business on leveraging IT to improve operations and outcomes.
Mentor team members and share architectural expertise.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

Essential:
- Matric (Grade 12) and a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related.
- 12+ years of relevant IT experience.
Advantageous:
- Postgraduate qualification in a related field.
- Experience with IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.
