SUMMARY:
Strategic Information Director

POSITION INFO:

This dynamic NGO is looking for a suitable candidate to promote and use data for impact across all their programmes.

Requirements:

Qualification in Public Health, Data Management, Epidemiology, Statistics, Cocial Sciences and Health Information Science (PhD preferred).

Masters/Doctorate in Public Health

At least 5 years experience in similar position with experience in epidemiological research, health systems strengthening, implementation science research and/or health programme evaluation

Data analysis and interpretation

Scientific writing

Interest in community based healthcare and publication record in related field

Responsibilities:

LEads and identifies opportunities for research within the organisation

Implement training and on-going technical support and mentorship programson strategic information and monitoring and evaluation for project staff

OVersee data analysis and supports programme teams to optimise rational collection and utilisation of data to inform best practice

Provides technical direction on SI issues, including research design and appropriate statistical analysis

Writing knowledge products

Oversee the development and monitoring of work plans and budgets to support SI activities

Identifies quality improvement opportunities

promotes data usage for continuous quality improvement through feedback, training and capapcity building.

Directs the collection of strategic information and ensures the systematic analysis thereof to effectively monitor key indicatiors and inform decision making

Collaborates with the IT Department to adopt, develop and roll out software and applicaitons relevant to programmatic data and strategic information

Developing funding proposals
