SUMMARY:
Our client within the Pharmaceutical Industry is looking for a Strategic Insights Analyst for a contract position

POSITION INFO:
Job Specification
Support our client in the implementation of regional finance and business strategy by delivering key strategic projects
Assist in the delivery of the SAGA objectives and plans by managing financial data across entities
Generating insights to facilitate decision making, smoothen coordination & support business and margin growth
Participate in and coordinate strategic projects and provide day-to-day support by taking care of administrative duties, prioritizing requests, evaluating proposals, proposing actions Uses techniques to analyse data and perform scenario modelling expertise in leading organizational projects (e.g. integration of acquisitions/subsidiaries, profit improvement plans, project viability analysis, optimal structuring for debt/equity, BBBEE, commercial)
Business and Financial Analysis & Strategic modelling
Data Science and Analysis
Develop, Initiate and Drive Value-adding projects with linkages to the overall SAGA region
Drive critical business decisions and analysis on business restructuring projects
Financial analysis
Data modelling
Additional business financial planning and forecasting -Pharmacy and Manufacturing facilities

Minimum Requirements
Qualified BBusSc in Analytics (Statistics) / Qualified BBusSc Information Systems / BSc Statistics
Qualified in any relevant actuarial or statistics/data science degree
0 - 2 years’ Data and Financial analyst experience
Experience and a passion for data science
Coding
Machine learning and statistical modelling
Financial management/accounting
Financial Reporting
Financial Scenario Modelling
Data integrity and analysis
Python, VBA, SQL, R coding or similar
Strong technical experience in analytical techniques, calculations and principles
Strategic and high-level thinking
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to conduct financial analysis, compile reports and provide adequate interpretation of results
Excellent skills in modelling, data, and statistical analysis
Strong analytical and decision-making skills
Strong programming and query writing skills in MSQL
