Are you passionate about uncovering the story behind the numbers? Do you enjoy turning data into meaningful business insights while building strong commercial relationships? Our client, a leading South African manufacturer with an international footprint, is looking for a Business Analyst – Distributor Performance to join their head office team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with the CEO, supporting strategic decision-making across a global distributor network spanning approximately 70 countries. This is a role for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking with commercial engagement to help drive business performance and long-term growth. What you'll be doing • Analyse distributor purchasing trends against annual targets. • Prepare weekly, monthly and executive-level performance reports and dashboards. • Monitor distributor performance, sales pipelines, compliance and growth opportunities. • Identify trends, market opportunities and potential business risks. • Partner with distributors to maintain accurate business data across multiple systems. • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors across international markets. • Work closely with internal teams to support commercial planning and forecasting. • Provide data-driven recommendations that improve commercial performance. • Analyse product, market and SKU performance to support strategic decisions. • Monitor competitor activity and market developments. • Present meaningful insights to senior management and executive leadership. Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field. • 3–5 years' experience in a Business Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Data Analyst or Commercial Finance role. • Experience within manufacturing, cosmetics, beauty, FMCG or another distributor-based business environment is essential. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP and data modelling. • Experience working with large datasets and transforming data into commercial insights. • Strong commercial acumen with excellent relationship-building and communication skills. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills. • Experience with Power BI, SQL, SYSPRO or other ERP and Business Intelligence systems will be advantageous.
