SUMMARY:
Supply Chain Management Specialist with Public Sector experience who will be tasked with providing SCM Institutional Support, and assist the Municipal Finance Unit & municipalities with designing workable SCM models for their specific environment. Additionally, you will review and align the Municipal SCM policies and SOPs

POSITION INFO:

Supply Chain Management Specialist (Long Term Contract) – Public Sector experience

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Management Specialist with Public Sector experience (municipal level preferred).

You will be tasked with providing SCM Institutional Support (undertaking annual reviews of the municipal SCM organograms and make recommendations regarding capacitation), and assist the Municipal Finance Unit and municipalities with designing workable SCM models for their specific environment. Additionally, you will review and align the Municipal SCM policies, SOPs and standard bidding documents to applicable legislation and reforms.

You will need to meet the following requirements:

Degree/Advanced Diploma in Supply Chain Management or Accounting/Financial Management or related (NQF Level 7 or higher).
5 - 8 years applicable experience in Supply Chain Management.
Experience working in the public sector (especially Municipal environment) is a strong advantage
Must be registered with the relevant professional bodies, and be a member in good standing (non negotiable)
